Tasting Notes:

Panama Finca La Valentina Geisha Anaerobic Natural

This natural processed coffee comes from Finca La Valentina, a micro estate family-owned farm run by the Osorio brothers in the Boquete region of Panama and our first ever direct-trade partner. This coffee had been fermented anaerobically for 15 days after which the whole cherries were naturally sun-dried on African beds with skin on and pulp on. The anaerobic fermentation enhanced the profile, including refining sweetness, acidity and body.

Yemen Sana'a Ibb Highlands

This natural processed coffee is from the Sana’a-Ibb highlands, home to a group of smallholders who combine their heirloom varieties from their steep, terraced farms on highland mountain peaks. This mix of organically grown natural processed coffee produces a uniquely sweet coffee that is perfect for espresso.

Ecuador Finca Cruz Loma - Caturra Honey - Grace Morales

This Caturra Honey coffee from Finca Cruz Loma is our first from Ecuador. The word Cruz means a crossing, and Grace’s farm is a place where paths cross and families come together to produce quality coffee. This coffee is spicy sweet with notes of fig, Speculoos, and blackcurrant. Finca Cruz Loma is brought to us by Caravela, our first B-Corp coffee importer partner.

Ethiopia Idedo Yirgacheffe Natural G1 - Kefyalew Mekuria

This delicate microlot comes to us through the Lulo Promise. Our direct trade partner, Lulo Coffee, works with farmers providing them access to buyers with the promise to pass most of the income – up to 88% – on to the farmers and to support smallholder farmers with larger than average coffee farm sizes to directly become farmer-exporters.We buy from Mr. Kefyalew Mekuria’s naturally processed microlot from Idedo, in the Yirgacheffe region of southwest Ethiopia. His organically grown coffee’s adopts the garden coffee farm approach with mixed-crop plots of other fruits and food staples, resulting in a rich soil health and unique flavours of hibiscus, lychee and white chocolate.

Indonesia Argopuro East Java Walida Cooperative Anaerobic Natural

This delicate, natural anaerobic processed coffee comes from Tlogosari village in the foothills of Mt. Argopuro in East Java. It is our first direct trade coffee from Indonesia — we work with the next-generation Indonesian coffee professionals committed to developing the quality and sustainability of Indonesian coffee.
